Classroom Monitor: Makes sure the class sign and schedule is posted before class. Make sure that chairs and tables are neat and tidy before class starts. Ensures that the teacher has what they need prior to class start. Takes a head count of students coming into class (including closing the class if the instructor feels it is at capacity) and picks up class surveys after class. Requires the ability to move folding chairs and tables around if necessary, as well as the ability to keep on task and on time.
Registration: Assists at the registration table by helping attendees get checked in, get a bracelet on, and get their swag bag and map of the site. This position requires Friday and Saturday morning availability
Water Bearer: Hydration is key. You’ll be responsible for checking the water stations and making sure they get refilled. As well as making sure the tea and coffee area is clean and stocked. Requires some heavy lifting.
Site Steward: Empty trash cans, make sure there is adequate toilet paper in the porta-potties, and make sure there is no trash where it doesn’t belong. Requires the ability to be standing and walking for a minimum of 1 hour at a time. Requires some lifting.
Vending Assistant: Help the vendor coordinator get the vending area laid out just before the conference opens. This assignment requires availability on Thursday.
Work Study Assistant: Help your fellow work-study friends get to where they need to be!
Parking Lot Attendant: Help direct conference attendees into the parking lot and wear a stylish orange vest. Requires the ability to stand for a minimum of 2 hours. Must be able to be kindly and respectfully assertive.
Event Ambassador: There will be a lot of folks needing directions and assistance getting around. You may be asked to drive a golf cart to help campers get their gear to the woods, give directions or walk the trails with someone while they get their bearings.
